The US Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Amturnide (aliskiren, amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide) tablets for the treatment of high blood pressure. Amturnide combines the only approved direct renin inhibitor worldwide, Tekturna (aliskiren), with the widely used calcium channel blocker amlodipine and the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ).
Amturnide Patient Information
Read the Patient Information leaflet that comes with Amturnide before you start taking it and each time you get a refill. There may be new information. This leaflet does not take the place of talking with your doctor about your medical condition and treatment. If you have any questions about Amturnide, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Important information about Amturnide
If you become pregnant while taking Amturnide, stop taking Amturnide and call your doctor right away. Amturnide may harm an unborn baby, causing injury or death. Talk to your doctor about other medicines to treat your high blood pressure if you plan to become pregnant.
